Certified Home Health Aide
A home health aide is certified to assist in activities of daily living, such as bathing, and personal grooming. Home Health aides are trained to assist clients who depend on all types of medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes, transfers and electric chair lifts. They can also assist with:
- Light housekeeping such as doing laundry and cleaning dishes
- Running errands
- Preparing meals
- Remind you to take your medications- but they are not allowed to administer medications.
- Accompaniment of you or your loved one to appointments.
- Take and record blood pressure, oral temperature, pulse rate, respirations and bodyweight.
